Mr. Cuevas is a bankruptcy attorney who represents debtors and creditors in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 cases. Mr.  Cuevas teaches Consumer Bankruptcy Law and Creditors' Rights at St. John's University School of Law.  Mr. Cuevas is a former Associate Professor of Law at New York Law School.  Mr. Cuevas is a  former Chapter 7 Trustee for the Southern District of New York, and a certified mediator.  Mr. Cuevas is a Contributing Editor for the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal.  Mr. Cuevas has published articles in the American Bankruptcy Law Journal; the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review; the Commercial Law Journal; the New York Law Journal; and the Notre Dame Law Review.  Mr. Cuevas has also made presentations before the United States House Judiciary Committee; the National Bankruptcy Review Commission; the American Bar Association; the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees; the New York State Bar Association; St. John's University School of Law; the Metropolitan Black Bar Association; the National Hispanic Bar Association; the Queens County Bar Association; and the Puerto Rican Bar Association.  Mr. Cuevas graduated from Yale Law School.  Mr. Cuevas is admitted in New York, New Jersey and the District of Columbia.  Appointments are available in Manhattan, the Bronx and Westchester.  Consultations are free.
